Tora Chair
Designed for Cantarutti, 2026
Tora is a slender chair, at the same time elementary and refined.
The idea behind the project was to develop a chair that was as simple as possible, both formally and in terms of manufacturing, while still incorporating some highly distinctive and characterizing elements.
A central element of the design is the distinctive leg section, created by two different curves that meet to form a slightly rounded edge, a detail that generates contrasts of light and shadow and enhances the tactile qualities of the solid wood. The rear legs taper slightly toward the top until they meet the crescent-shaped backrest, designed to ensure excellent comfort while also lending dynamism to the chair. Despite its lightness, Tora is extremely sturdy and durable, designed for intensive use in the contract sector. The chair stacks five high, and the version with armrests can be stacked three high. The collection is completed by a bar stool, available in two heights.
In our collaboration with Cantarutti, we always work closely with the company’s technicians and rely on their experience and the great manufacturing capabilities of the company, based in the “chair district” of Udine. Our projects with Cantarutti are always characterized by strong functionality and a close dialogue on technical aspects and manufacturing details.
