Uovo dog toy
Designed for Mia Cara, 2026
Uovo is a wobbling toy, designed to engage and entertain dogs by stimulating abilities in a rewarding mealtime.
Its overall shape resembles an egg—“uovo”—which makes it perfect for functioning as a wobbler: a weight in the lower section allows it to rock back and forth and always return upright. When filled with food, the opening at the top lets treats gradually fall out as the dog interacts with it. We designed the surface with a faceted pattern that creates an interesting play of light and shadow, while also altering the toy’s oscillation to make the movement more dynamic and unpredictable.
Mia Cara is one of the leading companies in high quality products for pets. In our collaboration with them we often work on products that are a bit unconventional. We are pushed to research in a niche with very specific requirements in terms of materials, durability and hygiene and to study the needs of our four legged friends as well as the ones of their human mates. We always conduct many tests on the products, to try their functions and see how the animals interact with the object, often with the use of mockups and 3D-printed prototypes and with the help of our dog Oreste.
