Lima bench

Lima is a collection of wooden benches designed to offer a wide range of variations, as singles pieces or connected together in multiple configurations.
The shapes of the different elements are obtained from the contrast between rounded volumes and flat surfaces. The series is inspired by the shape of the half round file, in Italian called “lima mezza tonda”. The semi-circular section of the working tool is recalled in the shape of the legs of the benches. The series offers a wide range of formats, colors and finishes, with or without backrest and armrests and with the possibility of being upholstered or not. The collection includes a series of modular benches which can be equipped with an accessory backrest and can be connected together in line or with angular modules, creating various configurations which play with colors and geometrical shapes and adapt nicely to wide public spaces.
Lima was the first project that we developed in collaboration with Cantarutti, it was very interesting to discover the great manufacturing capabilities of the company based in the “chair district” of Udine and work closely with Cantarutti’s technicians. Lima marked the beginning of a fantastic collaboration that has developed into several seating projects, always characterized by strong functionality and a close dialogue on technical aspects and manufacturing details.
