Kite outdoor series
Designed for Bolia, 2024
Born from the design of Kite indoor chair, the Kite outdoor series consist of a chair and table in two formats, made of powder coated steel, cord and solid teak.
The iconic curved backrest of the chair, typical of the Kite design, is realized in metal tube covered with cord weaving, which provides a soft and warm touch feeling. The seat is made of teak slats sitting on top of a curved metal frame, matching with the the tabletop of the tables. Kite outdoor chair is stackable, for a practical storage during winter time and also to meet the requirements of public spaces such as restaurants and cafés. All the pieces of the series have a light and sturdy build, making them easily moved around your outdoor space.
In designing the Kite outdoor series we put a great focus on the products resistance to outdoor conditions and durability. All the designs are component based and we developed each product in a way that wearing parts, such as the cord backrest and all the wooden parts, are dismountable and can be replaced if they get ruined over time. This is a central topic in our collaboration with Bolia, the single replacement components of each product can be purchased directly on the company website.
